Old vine producers - SA

Hey all, I'm doing some research into old vine wines and am keen to get some names of producers that make wines from very old vineyards (especially those in South Australia but would be keen to hear about other states too).

Foggo in McLaren Vale have ~100yo shiraz vines, and make a shiraz sourced exclusively from that vineyard. Their Grenache vines are a few years younger (~90yo?) whilst their Cab vines are relative pups at ~50yo.

Richard Hamilton has one called Centurion which are 119 year old vines.
They'd be McLaren Vale.
Some of Tyrrells' Hunter Valley vineyards would be over 100 years, wouldn't they ?
Might be some north of Perth that are old. (Gin Gin??)
Baptista vineyard in central Vic (Graytown) planted in 1891

Best's Great Western have some of the oldest vines in Victoria I believe (1868).

Langmeil Freedom Shiraz

My understanding is that the Langmeil Freedom Shiraz is made from the oldest shiraz vines in Australia - something I think I heard from Langmeil staff at cellar door.

Another old vine wine is Jenke's Mouvedre - their vineyard was over a hundred years old when I was there back on 2001.

Brands Laira in Coonawarra have the Steniford block of Shiraz from 1893.

According to the label on the Langmeil Freedom their vines were planted in 1843, apparently 5 years earlier than Turkey Flat's.

None surviving though!

Gavin, how old are the Marion vineyard in Adelaide's Marion suburb - they used to be bottled by Hamilton's and were a Grenache/Shiraz blend if I'm not mistaken. Are they still there?

Used to walk thru the Chateau Reynella vines daily before they were ripped up. Would've been heading towards 165+ years old by now.
Alas all gone and replaced with a mini lego-land. What a shame. They would've been up there as some of the oldest surely.

I believe Mt Edelstone was planted in the 1920s.

In Victoria I would include Tahbilk's 1860 vines and Best's who have the oldest Pinot Meunier in Australia if not the world - their shiraz for the Thomsom Family wine is probably just as old.

Other states much harder ... not their fault, but the cursed Phylloxera moved through our eastern states some time back, so very old vineyards not effected exist, but are much rarer than here in SA.

No Phylloxera here (Or in the West) hence such very old vines, growing usually on their own roots!

Unusual anomaly, the youngest state, with most of the oldest vines.

I think someone mentioned Tyrrell's earlier for the other states. They have many others you would define as 'old', but they have quite a few over 100 years:

Johnno's Block (producing Johnno's Semillon and Johnno's Shiraz) - planted 1908
HVD Vineyard (producing HVD Semillon and HVD Chardonnay) - planted 1908
4 Acres Vineyard (producing the 4 Acres Shiraz) - planted 1879
Old Patch Vineyard (producing Old Patch Shiraz) - planted 1867

Wow - thanks everyone - keep them coming! Mahmoud, with regard to the old Hamilton vineyard at Marion, I believe that those vines were planted in 1909 .. Apparently the oldest urban vineyard in the world (!), currently managed by Patritti.
