Most interesting thing I found was a new line for Collector - the Folded Blue Shiraz in the Shiraz Viognier class. It was a 2012, no reserve or Marked Tree 2012 so maybe it is replacing one of them? Marked Tree 2011 was entered though. Collector have started to bring out a lot more lines, now having:

Lamp Lit Marsanne
Tiger Tiger Chardonnay
Rose Red City Sangiovese
Marked Tree Red Shiraz
Folded Blue Shiraz
Reserve Shiraz

What next from the great Alex McKay?

Dan, I saw the same. I have always loved the Marked Tree. Could up let me know a little more about the Sangiovese?

Back to show results...looking promising (again) for Rieslings. Great news.

The Sangiovese is a bit fuller bodied than most Canberra examples - really lovely wine. Not as bright and obvious as some, but an intense palate. Prunes and tobacco. Worth every penny (about 33 bucks last I looked).

I am yet to try his chardonnay, but I can't imagine disliking it given how much I've loved just about everything he has done.

Many thanks Dan. I love Alex's wines too. And I love a good Sangio. So I'd better have a look. Shame they are so hard to get in Melbourne...

Yeah it is. He also doesn't update the orders page on his website very often!
