Whats the longest you have had a bottle of red open for and still enjoyed tasting it ?
I got quite a suprise last night when I sipped on a bottle of red that had been relegated to the cooking shelf. It was much nicer than when it was opened 3 weeks ago !!!
The longest open bottle of red !

I have to ask the question that we are all dying to know the answer of -
What was this mysterious wine called?
Regards
Glen
It was a Henry's Drive Cab Sav. - Can't remember if it was 1999 or 2000 because my wife whisked it away impatiently and gave me one of those looks, as she was in the middle of cooking and THE zone.

Just never bothered to try a red after four days, but I am beginning to think more about it after sniffing a glass of Wynns Reisling to make sure it was okay after a week in the fridge. It had very big bright citrus aromas that it didn't have when opened and there was no sign of oxidisation at all even though it was half empty. Screw cap?
cheers,
cheers,
simm.

Thistle hill
Paul T,
I tasted a few Thistle Hill's in the 1990's but they did not appeal much. (cannot recollect specfically whether I tasted the 1996) However, the 1986 cab was magic. And when last tasted in 1998 had evolved beautifully with wonderful secondary characteristics.
