Sad news for NZ Offline attendees
Sad news for NZ Offline attendees
Folks
Just letting you guys know that good friend, father in law and frequent offline attendee Cliff died suddenly in the weekend.
We had great times at the Esk Valley Terraces afternoon, 98 Hawkes Bay tasting, Eileen Hardy vertical, Puriri Hills visit and not to mention many many other occasions outside forum organised events. But you left us with way too many great wines left unshared and great times unhad.
After arranging his funeral Im sure he would be so happy that we lunched at his place with 06 Trinity Hill Homage Syrah, 08 Puriri Hills Reserve and 07 Te Mata Awatea. We still have a lot of work to do to put a dent in his cellar but it will not be half as fun doing so without him there. We will miss you so much.
Below photo taken at Stonyridge Vineyard with a glass of 08 Stonyridge Larose in hand.

I'll raise a glass Craig. Salute and RIP.
Bartenders are supposed to have people skills. Or was it people are supposed to have bartending skills?

Condolences mate.
Cherish the good times you had. There is nothing quite like sharing a great wine with great friends.

I'm also sorry for your loss Craig.
The fact that you can post a tribute like that here is tremendous, I bet he'd have loved it.
I'll hoist one for Cliff too when I next open a superb NZ vin rouge.

Sorry to hear that, Craig.
It doesn't seem right that the world just carries on when such special family members leave us.
My own dad died just six weeks ago, and there's still an air unreality about the whole thing.
Clutch precious people close to you, and love them well. Life is short.
Thoughts with you and family.

Craig condolences. I am curious however what was Cliffs last name. His face is familiar. TV?
