Can't see a way to make a barrel fermented Savvy for under $15 retail, but happy to be proven wrong....for under $10 you have to look at Oxford Landing,which can be found for $6-$8, and for $12-$14 Dom Torzi's La Quattro 08 has some Savvy in it and is really good in an ultra dry style.

I sometimes associate that difference in smell (or what I think you are referring to ) with a touch of oxidation. See what the next one is like and that might provide an answer.

There are a lot of quality levels and ages, are you after the aged stuff for special occasions or a good everyday one? For everyday use the Mazzetti 4-leaf version at the chains is a very good balsamic and quite reasonably priced. Brian, Can that be found in Woolies and Coles? I've been wondering a...

Sandalford Prendiville Cab 05- excellent Thomas Kiss Shiraz 06- young, good potential Howard Park Chardonnay 2006- excellent Delamotte NV- fresh, citrus, nice Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz 06- big, sexy flavours, young. Picardy Chard 05- cork OK but showing a lot of oxidation, very forward. Cheers

Bill, It's a nightmare. The people who designed the original site( and who registered the domain) have gone out of business. The notification that the domain was up for renewal went to them, and not to me, so I had no idea that it was about to die. Now I'm trying to find them to authorise the domain...
