Hi Anders, I lived in Oslo for a few years and quite often went across the border to Gothenburg to stock up on wine and beer. From what I recall the wines on offer were a little limited (could be different in Stockholm). I now live in Brussels and got my hands on some Wirra Wirra and have tried both...

I have recently begun to use this as well, calls from Belgium to oz work out to be 1.7EURO cents per minute to a land line, free if the reciever has downloaded the skype.
Definately beats the costs for STD calls.

I too am new to this forum but have received much advice/general knowledge in a short span of time - just by taking the time to read others tasting notes. Brian has given alot of his time to me...

Nice tasting notes. I have yet to try the '96' but have tried a few from lesser vintages. Glad I also have a few 96's stored away - looking forward to them now

Fortified wines for the beginner

I am looking for some advice from those forum readers who know a thing or two about fortified wines. My cellar is very one dimensional and I want to branch out into some new styles/varities. I have read some past posts which led me to the seppelt website as they appear to be one of the leaders. What...

wine tote

I am on the search for some type of wine bag so that I can bring some French wine back from Europe in June. I was hoping to get hold of a 6 bottle bag that could also double up to carry a few bottles to dinner parties. I have searched around and seen a 'wine safe' platinum carry bag in America that ...

Another warning in a prvious thread (perhaps to your post, cannot remember) warned some tissue paper with acid could affect the bottles.
Living in Brussels I don't like my chance of finding out whether the paper is acid free - my French is dreadful!!!!

I read a past post from Adam that stated, "Dont wrap your bottles in cling wrap intending to protect the label...it removes a large portion of the gold embossing on labels when removed...grrrr....just found out the hard way." Newspaper does not sound like the best solution either. I can't imagine lo...
