Anyone purchase wine in the Standish annual mailer today? I was able to purchase wine 45 minutes after the mailer opened up on the Standish website. I’m fascinated by them in some ways, they seem to fly under the radar despite being a critic darling and very well priced. I’m going to have to dig one out of the storage and give it an early whirl to see if it’s a winery to invest some more time in.

It’s Easter so… why not. Very dark in the glass, this is still quite primary in some ways albeit approaching 20 years. Tobacco, spice, tar - rich mouth feel. Very good. A wine you drink and wish you’d known to get on the mailer 20 years ago (when you turned 18!).

Had these last weekend. The Drumborg very good, saw it had disappeared from where I’d purchased. Hope it comes back again.

The Lindemans was incredible. Tobacco, old library vibes. Once it got some air in the glass it showed great length and depth.
