Had Alice's block shiraz 2004 not long ago thanks to Polymer. I thought it was fantastic. Not sure in long term cellaring but they can take some aging. Certainly took decade with ease. I need to grab some 2012 regardless of the closure. Price seems to be reasonable too except for the flagships.
Whoa, this is bigger war than me and polymer's alittle word play sometime back. pass on the popcorn.lol I do think china will be the wealthiest country oneday. But I reckon it will take longtime, but very possible. The gap between poor and wealthy are ridiculously proportion ed like someone has ment...
Hi Sa Mule, I should be the one saying sorry mate.. I really need to learn to shut my big mouth. ( my wife will be the first one to agree haha) I lost fair bit of fortune in my younger days at the casino. I don't gamble any more luckly. Watching rich people gambling is enough for me. (Only gamble a ...
I love it when it get heated hot in the forum. A fool and their money will buy chips instead of bottles roflmao. Hahaha I work in the sovereign room at the stars. Most of them if not all of them have lost alot of money in the past than their winning. But they are super wealthy it does not bother the...

I am happy to make the bookings. 3 course meal for around 30 dollar per head, and one of best Indian restaurants out there. Let me know gentlemen, this event should not be spoiled just bec...
I am a tight arse:) Unless wine is very cheaply priced I would not buy in sixer or dozen. Besides there are millions of different wines out there in the world. I want to try many different wines as possible. I like buy wines in 2's or 3. I have no idea on buying it overseas and bring it. Transportat...
Hey Polymer, I was exactly same as you for last 20 years of drinking, but now I want to collect some of the best imported wines as I am huge fan of old world wines. Expensive but bottle by bottle I want to make some nice collections. Mostly probably end up drunk, but if I need to sell it, might well...
Hi Craig, I don't know why you would think that I gave you an impression of intention to make money and not much else. For someone who never made money in wine other than selling 5 grange? For someone drunk wine for 20 years?, for someone been collecting wine for 13 years but never sold anything apa...
Thanks Ross for the reply. I don't like buying wines at the auction. I never bought and probably never will. You just don't know what kind of condition the wines have been kept. Now I use Polystyrene box in my underground cellar and some in wine fridge. I had so many wines that were heat affected or...
Hey Polymer, good to see you getting keen. Yes, it will definately happen. This tasting will be collaboration between RBG members and Auswine members. wineforlife burges vinh Polymer Hacker said he might be coming. ( I apologised to him for mistaking him for somebody else. Considering we've never me...
Taylors Reserve Parcel Shiraz 2012, I think I picked this up at dans for $20. Popped and poured, very tight and closed. Left it open and came back after 24 hours. ( Ben Glaetzer advised me all of his Reds taste better after 24 hour aeration. I am a big fan for of his wines and was priviledged to mee...
I remember bag limit was 2 litre's of Alcohol at the Australian air port. I used to bring to Australian 3 premium wine ( grange, hill of grace ) on each trip, and the rest, some budget european wines. If custom had to confiscate it, it would not hurt much. Used to bring 7-8 bottles home and I never ...
I would lean against Rioja too. Cracked a bottle few weeks ago. It's got that that lovely coconut vanilla oak interwoven with some nice black fruits. Probably a good match with your rabbit stew. I would let it breath for sometime though. Cheers
Good old Fortnum and Mason. They used to have their own label barossa shiraz from Torbreck. (Probably woodcutters?) Some very fine collections of Australian wines. I still buy Christmas hampers every year from either Fortnum and mason or harrods. (Not for us in Oz but folks in UK) They are all indiv...
Absolutely loved 2005 RWT. One of highlights from the Dan Murphy Shiraz expo in Mona Vale sometime back ( it was held either 2008 or 2009) along with torbreck Factor 2005. My father's got a bottle of 2001, might be past it's peak?
Tonight cracked the Peter Lehmann Mentor 2010. Since I have a dozen, I thought it would be good idea to try one. Split Decanted it around 10 times. Having it with Irish stew tonight. What a combination. Thank you my beautiful wife! Dark ruby colour, hint of purple at the rim. Nose I am getting some ...
Hi Everyone, I'm Will - just joined up to your forum and looking forward to contributing as I have just been lurking for a while. A select few for me recently from a BBQ with friends: 2000 Crawford River Reserve Riesling - The fruit weight, drive and intensity is really something. I haven't tried t...
Because I did. Kidding Kidding aside, I was having a fun at Burges of his full collection of big boys but very little of everything else. Is that a satisfactory reply for you sir? Oh ok...sorry..I didn't missed that part.. Where's that Korean food when you need it? Hey Polymer my man, I am not sure...
