Re: Melbourne Offline / 3 March / Pinot
Thanks everyone for another great evening A terrific set of wines with such contrast across a single variety.
Cheers, Adrian.

Interested to hear people's thoughts on glass walled cellars. Assuming temp/humidity is dealt with and the glass is UV coated, is the expose to light going to have any effect?

Re: Melbourne Offline / 8 July / Italy
Thanks to all for a very enjoyable and educational evening. Couldn't ask for the food to complement the wines any better. The Mascarello was probably my highlight also with the Tignanello a close second.

Re: Melbourne Offline / 8 July / Italy - places still available!
I've not been to an offline before but would be keen to attend and love Scopri. Are the 3B's excluded or just not limiting?

Re: TN: Jimmy Watson Trophy Winners 1976-2000 Vertical 5/5/1
Opened an 88 Jamieson's Run (purchased at auction) last night. While it was very developed, it retained enough fruit character and acid to make it a very pleasant older wine to drink. Interestingly, the bottle had a wax coating over the original foil capsule. The cork was completely soaked and pushe...

Beach Road make a primitivo from fruit grown in Langhorne Creek. I was quite taken with the 2008 but have not yet tried the 2009.

Re: 2010 Chardonnay with cellaring potential
Thanks for the suggestions. I had not thought of the Tahbilk.
Perhaps the solution is to purchase 3 or 4 and sample at regular interavls. The only problem is that it might be a bit too easy to convinve myself that they won't last and need to be consumed immediately.
Adrian.

Thanks for the input. At least now I don't feel so bad about not being able to come up with anything.

2010 Chardonnay with cellaring potential
In time honoured (cliched?) fashion I am putting together some wines from 2010 to hand over (maybe) to my little boy in 18 years time. Most of the whites will be riesling with a few semillon from the Hunter but I would like to include some chardonnay as well. Does anyone have any suggestions for Aus...
