I know Bests (Grampians) is another you can add to this list. They have 100 year old vines....and you can tell by the trunk on them...huge. As for the Yarra Valley, I think phylloxera did wipe them out at some stage and is threatening to do it again. I've heard off the "grapevine" the prob...

Davo, Love your work. My old man has known about this winery for years and takes everybody he can there while doing Pipers and Bay of Fires. Jansz has actually bought out the winery but are allowing the Dalrymple label to continue. Must get more up to date info on that... But the Pinot they make is ...

For me, there's a couple.
1. Pipers Brook Blanc de Blanc. (Tassie)
2. Chandon NV Brut (YV)
3. Jansz NV Cuvee (Tassie)

Just some off the top of my head.

Bottle Shock on Pinot

Hi All, I'm interested in the topic of Bottle Shock and how it effects Pinot. Through a friend in the industry, I got last years vintage of Pinot at 3, 6 & 11 weeks after bottling. After 3 weeks, it was terrible. I was thinking of using the remaining bottle as toilet cleaner...it would've stripp...
