What am I? Described as being big and bold, I’m from an individual site, grown in shallow dirt with good sunlight. I’m matured in mostly new French barrels and I'm reasonably expensive. My region is renowned for my variety. I also have a 'partner' who sees a bit of Viognier.

A quirk of migrating members from the old forum to this one.

OK, here's another clue, in fact a 'double' clue, there are two strong connections to the South Australian Caledonian Society.

Sounding like it's in Adelaide Not in Adelaide, but within 375 kms of it. Therefore, 375 kms south is Coonawarra or thereabouts. The building is quite famous and is still used in a wine related capacity.

I believe the building was only used to produce one vintage, and it wasn't the first.

You're right Michael, Belarus and Ukraine are part of Europe. I intended to go with Asia for Georgia simply to make the quiz more difficult, but was thwarted!
