Missing Penfolds

Hi All, Was looking around the wine aisle in my local Tescos Megastore this Morning when I noticed something odd, not a single bottle of Penfolds wine was on the shelves, it wasn't that they had sold out, they just weren't listed at all, not even Rawsons Retreat. I got home and checked their Wine We...

D'Arenberg Feathered Dinosaur ??

Last Week I was wandering around my local Supermarket and discovered sitting on their Fine Wine Rack a bottle of D'Arenberg that I've never heard off. It was called 'Feathered Dinosaur' and was a 2004 Cab Sav. I've checked the D'Arenberg Website but it's not listed and googling it also came up blank...

Your Cellar Delights

All, What wine gems do you have lurking about the cellar? These could include those that are rare, pricey or even of sentimental value. In my young cellar I have a bottle of Grange '96 and '99. Also a bottle of Château de Beaucastel 1995 Châteauneuf du Pape that my wife gave me for my 30th Bir...

Where's this auction being held? I might have to go along and outbid you! Only kidding

Seriously though, you often mention you pick up stuff from Auction, are any of these online? If so which ones?

Penfolds Bin 389 1996 Still very young, needs another 10 years (or more?). Can understand it's one dimensional and feels locked in time but the quality and potential is palpable. I can imagine how the '96 Grange must be showing about 25% about now. Must find more Bin 389 from 1996 ... more I say .....

Oh no! Am I a Label Whore?!

All, Sorry for the use of the word, but as I was sitting here searching the web for news of the latest vintage of 'Dead Arm' it suddenly struck me that I'm turning into what could be classed as a Label Whore. I find myself attracted to expensive and sought after wines and I'm influenced by Halliday,...
