Glaetzer Godolphin (as mentioned only two vintages) among Australia's best example of this blend!

Also for something different, the Gralyn Estate Shiraz/Cabernet blends, fast becoming a favourite of mine! from the Margaret River region.

Tried the 05 Godolphin and the Amon Ra last year, both excellent wines! I much preferred the Godolphin. I would say even better than the 04, a more complex wine, with great structure and balance. Trying to remember the tasting from back in Nov 06 (when I tried it), a beautiful very well balanced Shz...

2005 Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz

Tried this wine on the weekend. The wine was shared with friends over a game of football. Two of my mates made very good comments about the wine, that it was sweet and caramel seem to be a dominant feature of the wine. After these comments were made I knuckled down with the brain and started analyzi...

A very good read, but STILL to much advertising ( I know, I know) a bit more honesty in the write up of wines, and this business of pairing up wines with luxury goods! you have got to be kidding me - remember it is grape juice for crying out loud! that have been published in past issues. I really en...

bigkid Wild Duck Creek 2003 Springflat Shiraz - bought at auction - no fruit to speak of, sour and acidic, I suspect poor storage, heat perhaps. I had a bottle of the 03 Springflat and it was a sensational wine to say the least, dark brooding - black wine. The fruit on the nose was awesome, tannins ...

The stand out for me was the Amon Ra - a beautiful wine now to my last dozen! All wines a beautifuly structured and e...

The PWG is a great read each year and look forward to it's release. I have all of the books except for the very first edition (believe it or not I managed to find two copies of the wine guide in a seconds store in Port Hedland last year) so am on the hunt for it. I don't like the current new format ...

I placed an order for everything on the list. As they say less is more, so don't be greedy and order the max of everything a few bottles here and there!, The stand outs for me are the Shiraz, the Shiraz Mataro. I have not tired the 04 release but expect it to be a corker of a vintage.

my pleasure! I think that I purchased the 02 HP BBM - it was last year anyway. Like I said it was expensive, but a good Merlot, I would not have purchased it! I know when I have tasted a good Merlot. The 01 Petaluma Merlot excellent and a good drop, the Grant Burge another good one! also the 01 Cull...
